What's new If any person or group wish to be shown round then please contact us. The advantage of being led round is that we can identify lizards and birds when they may otherwise would be missed.

 

Acton Wildlife is a small community reserve situated in Acton, Suffolk, ten miles South West of Bury St Edmunds. It is owned by Acton Parish Council and managed by volunteers from the local community, while working in partnership with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust (S.W.T.)

It is primarily a reptile site which is continually being developed to enhance this aspect of wildlife. However, we hope it will become a site that protects small mammals, birds and also enhances different species of wild flowers. The site contains links to other sites such as the S.W.T. and other local sites. We hope that we have included all the information that is helpful as far as a budding conservationist is concerned. We are always open to advice and ideas for other items to include on this website so please use our contact form.

 

The local cubs set up the bird feeders on the site and take a continual interest, incorporating their work in the `Environmental group award`. If you are interested in joining the Acton & Waldingfield Scout group please e-mail Cliff Dark for more info on the Scouts in general click here.
